KABBALAT SHABBAT

Our Kabbalat Service is being held in-person and virtually through Zoom

On Friday nights, we welcome Shabbat with song. These short, joyous services lift our spirits and calm our souls as we prepare for The Day Of Rest. On some Friday nights, services are followed by a community dinner and a guest speaker. Check the calendar for details.

SHABBAT MORNING

Shabbat Service is being held in-person and virtually through Zoom

Our Shabbat morning services are the heart of our community. We begin at 9:30 AM and conclude around 11:45 AM. Congregants frequently read Torah and Haftarah in our egalitarian services, and our Rabbi, Joshua Kullock, delivers a short but topical D’var Torah (Sermon). After services, we all enjoy a delicious Kiddush lunch.

Children are always more than welcome at all WES services, and twice a month, we hold special Shabbat services specifically for families with young children and learner services for school-aged children.

We use The New Siddur Lev Shalem, which includes English translations and transliteration of all the Hebrew prayers.
